Daniel Sturridge gets the middle finger

This has to be the best think I've seen in a while. On 22 minutes, when Sturridge doubled Liverpool’s lead against Southamton, things looked bleak. So much so that one kid saw red and flipped the bird towards the England striker.
mint, too, as he pulls his son’s arm down in embarrassment. Proper funny monent like I bet he was buzzing with the end result though, nice one kid.

Football Index

Hey guys, in the past couple of months I come accross and used something quite interesting called Football INDEX. What is it? I here you ask, well in this post I am going to show you what it is all about.

The site has put itself forward as a stock market for Footballers.
Football Index enables an individual to purchase footballers for real money,  you can build a portfolio, earn dividends, trade players and sell at a profit. (Profit is not a given becaues like any market prices go up and down so it's about timing).

It is basically a bet, a gamble but you're betting on the footballer not a  match. This bet stays open with multiple chances to win  until you choose to close it by selling your hold in the player. You’re effectively betting on a player's future value, performance and success.

Below is the write up from the official About Us page

 About Football INDEX

BetIndex Ltd have launched the world's first football stock market, Football INDEX, where traders can buy and sell shares in professional footballers with real money.

The UK licensed gambling platform provides customers with an exciting alternative to the traditional and overly crowded sports betting markets. The first of its kind, Football INDEX is revolutionary in offering customers a chance to bet on the future success of football players, rather than gambling on the short-lived outcome of football matches. The platform operates with all the characteristics of a stock market, with traders buying units of footballers (known as 'Futures'), building their football portfolios and trying to sell at a profit.

As well as trading footballers for profit, customers have the chance of multiple 'wins' from a single bet. Football INDEX’s daily Buzz Chart is UK media monitor determines the trending footballer in the news each day. Any traders holding futures in the trending footballer will receive a dividend payout per future held.

How it works

I will be writing future posts on this subject so please feel free to ask any questions.

One Point Better Than None

Well I had hoped to sit here and tell you all that we'd stuffed SAFC, but it wasn't to be unfortunately.

The game was an intense afair with both teams battling for their lives. The first half looked to be drifting to 0-0, when Bang! They scored from a corner. The TOON defence couldn't handle it and Defoe put the ball in the back of the net.

The mood became downcast, with the half time interval hard to bare. No banter or giggle to heard anywhere we were all thinking this is us we are down.

That all changed though in the second half, the lads came out fighting. We gave everything with no joy. Then with 15 mins or so to go Rafa the gaffer made some subs, switching our full-backs for forwards and going all out attack.

That turned out to be a masterstroke, as with a few minutes left the beautiful serb Mitrovic got his head on a ball into the burried it.
The place went nuts, St James' Park was bouncing like the good old days. I can honestly say I ain't felt an atmosphere like that in years and it was bloody fantastic.

We should've gone on and won it, but hey a point is better than none.

Big Day Tomorrow Derby Day

Well I sit here writing this a bag of nerves, for it is derby day tomorrow (the best match day of the season). Newcastle United FC take on Sunderland AFC in what is set to be the most important game ever between the two.

Don't get me wrong every game between these fierce rivals is important, but this one is massive with both teams fighting relagation and one point between us the game couldn't be any bigger. Both teams have 8 or 9 games to go so every game matters and ever point is vital.
It is suggested that relagation will cost clubs upwards of £100M as well as their place in the EPL, due to new TV rights deal coming into effect in the summer. So as you can see there is a hell of a lot riding on this game and every other game coming up for the TOON.

Newcastle have done one  thing though to improve their chances in bringing in Rafael Benítez a world class manager, The changes he's made are there for everyone to see even though he's only been in place a week. This can only bode well I just hope the guys take on bored what he wants and give everything.

With a bit of luck I can come back on here tomorrow not feeling sick to my stomach with nerves and tell you guys that my beloved NUFC won.
Untill then night guys and girls.

Biggest Derby Ever!

I think this picture says all that needs to be said about tomorrows game
